Are you a leader? A follower of rules? A consensus builder? An entrepreneur? Regardless of your ownership “style”, there are franchise models that could be a great fit… but you will only find out if you take the first step.
When I work with clients, one of the first things I ask them to do is to take a short assessment of their ownership personality. You may have taken tests like this before (as many of us have) but the one I use is special in that it highlights specifically the business models that best align with your core mindset. One of the big mistakes I made when I first decided to pursue franchise ownership was to leap into a restaurant business when all signs pointed toward my success lying in being more of a consultative individual. I thought I would be better at leading teams or dealing with difficult customers but the harsh reality was that I really wasn’t cut out to own a restaurant. If I had leaned into what the personality assessment was telling me, I could have gone in an entirely different direction sooner… a mistake I strive to help my clients avoid.
Still with me? Let’s see what your behavioral assessment says. Take this quick quiz (courtesy of Zorakle) to see if you agree with the results. I promise I won’t bother you with a sales pitch but I can email you a few category examples of business concepts that the results are suggesting would be a good fit. https://www.zorakle.net/assessment/welcome/hoffranchiseconsulting
